Really? What would be the equivalent of Chrysler in Chicago. Haven't seen anything like it. Tribune building its nice but not in the same class.
And yes I think both Sears and Hancock are ugly...
Nobody cares what you think. Chicago is home to some of the most iconic skyscrapers in the world designed by some of the greatest architects in the world. You are criticizing a city that is the gold standard for modern architecture. Makes you look pretty dumb.

Oh really? I am not entitled to an opinion now?
I just don't like the boxes and besides them most people areound the world would be hard pressed to name even one. New York has just more famous buildings
New York really has two downtowns so it's kind of an unfair comparison. I would probably say NY's is better with everything that it offers, but Chicago's downtown isn't really like NY's anyway. They're both different in their own way.
Chicago downtown is beautiful amazing skyline but it's loses points on having the nickname second city putting itself under New york or L.A but far as downtown go it's very hard to beat N.Y but it's all a matter of opinion

I actually heard that Chi was called "The second city" because it had to be rebuilt after the fire. Pretty cool name if you ask me.
To me Midtown & Lower Manhattan are better then Chicago as far as things to see and do, but DTC is just really pretty to me. Chicago kind of reminds me of DT Houston ×10.
Downtown Houston doesn't have the kind of large dense mountainous skyline full of 19th century buildings that Chicago has. The lack of it shows the contrast.
They could block yet comaped to Chrysler and ESB they are ugly.
If you really think about it Manhattan has more of those ugly boxes than Chicago making it look bigger.
