Next year the FICA tax cut will expire and the IL increase will be exposed. In an election year. Republican (and maybe a few Democrat) candidates will run on a platform of ending the tax increase. And regarding NJ Christie, I wouldn't vote for him as dogcatcher. Seeing what he did to NJ citizens, who knows what he would do to the dogs.

Suckers.
I'm so incredibly shocked. We've never seen this bait-and-switch act before.

I don't see why not. We are part of the same electorate who in the last three gubernatorial elections gave us Rod Blagojevich twice and gave Quinn their official endorsement once already, after he basically said "vote for me because I'm going to raise your taxes." Your confidence that they won't vote for Quinn again is tragically unfounded.

The power peddling in most Dem cities has been going on for so long.....no stopping now.....and this drives taxes way up. Dems must pay off unions or else they will get very angry.

In this state, your vote really does not count. The entire state is run by Chicago politicians who answer to the Labor Unions and to con artists who game the system by running fake "social services" organizations, and also by people who naively believe in Rockefeller-style progressive liberalism, where, on the surface, the government runs everything "for the people" but where the banking and oil industry actually calls the shots and destroys people's lives and promotes racism as a way of keeping people divided against each other...infowars dot com talks more about this.
