Exactly. People get settlements to keep quite. There's no settlement after going to the media and letting the cat out of the bag. I believe she truly is upset about him being cast again in a father figure role. I'll bet she hopes the network drops the show or Cosby. At the very least, other people are forewarned and can be vigilant around him on and off the set.

The opposite is also true. Just because she says it happened doesn't mean it did. Interesting how people always believe allegations over denials. Let's have actual proof before we judge. I'm not on his side nor hers. If true, he's a scumbag, if not.... .
Reading many of the comments at the end of the article, many people don't believe her. Meanwhile, there have many allegations against him through the years, and one lawsuit named 13 victims in court documents before being settled out of court. I don't think her saying she never had the career she was meant to have speaks to her being untruthful. It speaks to the power of Cosby over his victims.
The phrase "meant to have" does not fit with your conclusion.

Someone said she isn't interested in the money. Well whatever she's interested in, she clearly didn't want it that bad if it's taken all these years.
