Some truth at least. Possibly. I just haven't been convinced that these allegations are even mostly factual, and I'm not exactly the biggest Cosby fan either.

I don't know how true all these allegations are, but it seems like this has done irreparable damage to Cosby. It's weird that it took some stand up comedian most people had never heard of to blurt this out on stage to bring attention to all this. Until now I had never heard of any of this. Usually the tabloids, however much else they get wrong, break these stories.
I see Cosby's appearance on Letterman this week has been canceled. Letterman's reps declined to give a reason.

I have only one question.

Why now?

You're talking about allegations from all the way back to 1985. They were either dropped, or settled in court, or whatever.

But what is the agenda to drag it all up now? He's 77 years old. Who's looking to win here?

Who cares if he's 77 years old. If he did it, he should pay for it.

Just because a woman waits a longtime to say anything, doesn't mean it isn't true. As the years go by and she gets older makes a huge difference is being able to face whatever the reactions are. And someone saying Cosby is only human... what else could he be? That's what we all are.

I've often thought when people appear to get away with certain actions for many years, they can enjoy those years, then suddenly some truths come to light and it's time to pay the piper. This is Cosby's time to pay the piper, and that may not have anything at all to do with anything other than facing the last years of life without benefit of being held out as a good man. Too many women have come forward for it to be lies.

Women who have been sexually assaulted are so often viewed as being damaged goods and that comes under the heading of life isn't fair and it takes a strong woman to choose facing it rather than staying anonymous.

I think there is a LOT more to this story! I'm not judging him yet.

The first I heard of this was today.. I guess I live under a rock..she said she thought about it every day and she was getting to the point the statute of limitations was running out...Saw her say that this morning on tv...so who knows? But I agree with you...

The article says that he might have a sitcom in the works where he plays the patriarch. I think she doesn't want him portraying the beloved father figure again, and Hannibal Buress making his remarks gave her the chance to bring this up again. If people are looking into this, they are seeing the allegations that were leveled against him. Many people never knew anything about this.

So if Hitler was found alive in the 80's, people should've let bygones be bygones since he'd be a feeble old man?
