In today's complicated world, I have little doubt more and more people are looking for Mayberry, while few, if any, are looking for Jersey Shore.

"Well Opie, people are funny," ... "Sometimes change scares 'em. They'd rather keep doing the same old thing that keeps messing them up then change to the thing that can help 'em."
Andrew Samuel "Andy" Griffith (June 1, 1926 – July 3, 2012)

One of the best!

God Bless You, Andy...
They play Andy's football story, and others as well, on an XM Radio comedy channel I listen to. I've heard this story a bunch of times over the past several months. Andy must have been the best story teller there ever was!

Andy Griffith dead at 86 - MSN TV News

You knew this was coming. Andy has looked in poor health for a number of years. Still a sad day.

Rest well, Andy. Thanks for the decades of warming our hearts.

Andy Griffith is a true American TV icon. I enjoyed watching re-runs of the Andy Griffith show when I was a kid in the late 70's and I still catch an episode or two on cable on occasion to this day. Matlock was also a great show, I watched that one regularly. RIP Andy! We'll never forget you.

R I P Andy Griffith. I grew up with Opie and just loved your father figure. Loved Matlock as well.
