Jammie promised to ride the roller coaster.........or...........ah...........did she say her husband would have to go in her place.
Jammie, are ya' ready??
Does anybody think its a ripoff? I saw the tickets were $50 for a single day, and they've only got 4 coasters, and one looks fairly small and child friendly.
Six Flags and Carowinds are both cheaper and have more Coasters. I guess there's a premium for being near the beach, but I feel like the pricing for this park when compared with what you get makes it a bad value.
It is a very high price for just having roller coasters and restaurants.........
Because we have a ton of restaurants in Myrtle Beach that are free to get in, of course.
Having all the roller coasters is fine for teens........but the little guys are going to be so disappointed. From what I am hearing there is nothing for the smaller kids.
There shouldn't be a premium for being by the beach.
Being as it is the same cost as Disneyworld or Universal..........when those are all day long ,and full of things for all ages, is a bit mindboggling.
It might make out well during Spring Break times...........
I really, personally, don't know of families that will spend that much, for just roller coaster rides.
It needs some expansion for sure............for "family value"

UMMMM, not yet. They need to shrink it by a few hundred feet before I'd go on there.
The HRP has some room for expansion.. and I'm thinking that they are testing the waters, so to speak, prior to rolling out the big guns.
I haven't been yet.. but leaving one of my favorite little hangouts tonight, The Boathouse, which is right around the corner, I got to see the Led Zepplin in motion.. I just have to find time to get over and take a spin on it.
Regarding the price... if you laid out nearly $700 million, would you give tickets away or would you price them accordingly? I mean, think about it.. it's their FIRST park... give them time to see what the market will bear and I'm sure they will react accordingly or their numbers will suffer...
I rode around today and saw the LZ coaster spin around & around. I am looking forward to visiting after the grand opening. I thought $40 for only a half day during the "soft opening" was a little steep.
There is still a ton of space for expansion.... do they own the old Waccamaw Market, too?
