Hi

The following Concert info is what was given to us when we purchased our Annual Passes:

May 13 Kid Rock with Rev Run

May 16 Volunteer Jam (The Charlie Daniels Band, .38 Special and Shooter Jennings)

May 23 George Clinton with Parliament/Funk

June 2 Eagles (special event ticket needed)

June 3 The Moody Blues (special event ticket needed)

July 4 Sister Hazel

Hope this helps

Beth

Thanks Beth.... I am on the fence about getting the season pass. I should probably go to the soft opening & feel it out.

Thanks Beth, it does help.

I agree baylovers, I can't decide and unfortunately I don't have time to go during the soft open to check it out. If you go, please let me know what you think.

BSD, thank you for the info. I've been wondering what type of bands they would have. I wonder why they're charging extra for some of the shows.

Here is an entry in the Hard Rock blog from the Sun News. It gives a rundown of concerts/performers through June and the headliners of the summer.

Birth of a Theme Park: Park announces new concerts for summer (http://thesunnews.typepad.com/hrp/2008/04/park-announces.html#more - broken link)

This really sounds negative and I'm sorry about that, BUT the list is kind of disappointing.

But I do thank you for finding that list for us.

Yeah, I was not really knocked off my seat by the list either. I would imagine as the park's popularity grows they will have more in the headliner category. I suspect that there will be a few surprises thrown out here too (I hope!).

You know what I didn't ask is if you buy a daily pass and there happens to be a concert that day, can you attend? I was thinking of going the day of Kid Rock and just buying a daily pass.

Rapture, that was something we had talked about when you were gone. If I remember correctly, you still have to pay to see a lot of the shows whether you have a day pass or a year's pass, etc. The yearly passes weren't even good for most or all of the Grand Opening.

I don't have any firsthand info of course, but it seems like that's what was discovered. I remember thinking that it could be very expensive.

Annual passes are not good for the grand opening shows on June 2 and June 3. Those tickets are $250.00 each and it includes some extras. The park will be open those days to the general public but will close at like 5 or 6 PM.Then only the people who have purchased the $250. tickets specifically to see the Eagles or Moody Blues will be allowed in. That's how it was explained to me.

All other concerts are free with a daily general admission or annual pass is what I was told. There will be no additional charge to see whatever concert is going on that day

Hopefully, this info is still accurate.
