My mind is sort of fuzzy, but do you remember the magnificent place with live Jazz bands, also near the airport? Also the crossway?

Can't remember the name but I do remember there was a place for live jazz bands near the airport. I do remember a few additional places I used to go back then. One was Daphne's by the airport. There was another and it was in that same area as Daphne's, up on the top floor, maybe in a Holiday Inn, on 36th St., kind of at LeJeune and 36th St.? It gets kind of fuzzy, being so many years ago!

I only went to about 25% of the clubs on this great list. But I have a couple of more to add from the 1985 to 1990 era. I would add Pizazz on Oakland Park and Federal to this list. It was a giant club with bigger and better everything. G Willlikers in Pompano Beach was small but was packed after 2am(closed at 4am)....waiting for your car was often the best part of night and the best time to meet girls.
Another club I would that didn't close until 5am was Lakeside on Glades RD. It was actually in a Holiday Inn but had a cool Boca crowd. My rankings for Fort Lauderdale '85 to '90 would be:
1. Backstreets
2. G Willikers
3. Pizazz
4. Confettis
5. Lakeside

Anyone remember Club Oz on US1 and Caribbean? Studebakers (Charkie the DJ) in Kendall Town and Country? Wish I had all the money back I spent in there, but I DID meet my future wife (coming up on 22 years) there so I guess it wasn't ALL wasted $$!

I used to work at Ma Grundy's in 1982-83. I met my ex-husband there!
