Was it September's that had the white lights in the entry and served a great swordfish? Kinda high end dining? Also does anyone remember THE EGG & YOU?

I don't think it was September's. Septembers was more of a night club (or high end pick up joint, depending on your point of view) with entertainment and dancing. They had a kitchen, but I don't remember anyone raving about the food. I do remember The Egg and You, but never went there.

Thee Egg & You is still there - on N Federal, just before NE 26 Street on the NE side.

Don't recall any high-end restaurants from the 1980s with lattice work at the entrance on Federal Hwy that served great swordfish.

Definitely NOT Septembers - no lattice work; and it was a nightclub, not a fish restaurant.

Need more details...

Actually the Egg and You is on the NW corner of Federal Hwy and 26th Street. Still a good place to eat.

Yes, you are correct.

I must have carried the NE from the street address.

I think you're referring to what was once The Sea Grill. It was on the Sunrise Blvd section of US1/Federal Hwy.

The Sea Grill was located at 1619 NE 4 Avenue, across from Ft Lauderdale High School, not Sunrise/US1/Federal.

It was not "high-end", did not have lattice at the entrance nor white lights, and did not have swordfish on the menu:

Ssavage755 needs to provide more details.
