Your instead of you're, it's instead of its, the usage of acronyms like BFF and TTYL. Just spell the words out already! Same for emojis, I can understand a smiley face or a heart at the end of the sentence, but symbols in the middle of a sentence, just--no. I shouldn't have to perform the extra mental work required in dealing with those.
Please bare in mind I attended public schoolran by the government
Well, yah, public school in the US means run by the government, @ some level - typically local. As I understand it, public school in the UK means the opposite. But over there, English is (mostly) a different language.
Foam is fine, but need to covers, they are worn or wripped.

You ever hear of NASA? USGS? ANZUS? POTUS? SCOTUS? USA?
Are you anti-acronym or just anti-specific acronyms?
I just read an article that included the name "Chloe", and it brought back memories from my last job.
One of our clients was named "Chloe", and one of my co-workers insisted that the woman's name was pronounced as Shh-lowe.
Luckily, that co-worker never met Chloe, and never had the chance to butcher the woman's name in person.

That's funny! I recall an old song and just researched it, found it. There has also been another (different) song (released 2013) but the one I recall was by the jazz great Louis Armstrong: Chloe: (Song of the Swamp), and it was a very touching, mournful song about love lost, lost of course with Chloe:
You can play the song online if you wish. For me it made the connection between such an unusual name, and of course its correct pronunciation. And no, the song was recorded many decades before I was born. I'm not that old!

The site assigns a 2017 popularity at #23 which I first scoffed until I saw the name Kardashian.
At this popularity I suspect the mistaken pronunciation will be oft repeated in the future, except by those who are Kardashian fans (myself not among them).
