I have always been mystified by people who insert an extra letter (or two) into a word when they say that word.
Acme becomes Ac-a-me. Revlon becomes Rev-a-lon. Athlete is pronounced as Ath-a-lete. Many people pronounce paraplegic as para-pa-legic. In college, one of my friends had the last name of Costanzo, but most people seemed to pronounce his name as Con-stanzo. The Verrazano Bridge is referred to by many people as the Verranzano Bridge.
Why do some folks insert extraneous letters into a word?

What a rediculous notion- "march for science", as if real science needs you to march. It was nothing more than another whiney tempur tantrum from the left to make them feel righteous. I lost my "tempur" and now I have nowhere to sleep.
