Comorants (a type of bird) live on an island called Comorones - some people call the birds "comorones" apparently. What do I know - I just did a search for the word and these pictures of an island and some birds came up.
On the Car Talk forum, in a thread titled Low Peddle, somebody poses the following question (sans question mark):
"I have a 94 f150 xlt I put new front rotars and a brake caliper driver side bleed them when truck is off peddle good hard stiff once u turn on truck peddle does down to floor what could be cause of this"
Out at golden coral celebrating __'s birthday. She went right to the desert.
From the Relationships forum on CD:
But as I said... none of this really would phase me much. - people really have a hard time believing that "faze" is a real word, don't they?
Maybe she went there looking for enlightenment - like how to cope with a longing for high-calorie sweets? (Or even manna - but I don't know if the stuff is supposed to be sweet or not. Maybe sweet, there's a reference to the taste of honey in the article in Wikipedia.)
Yah, faze - I think I remember English teachers drilling into us that faze wasn't a preferred word. It used to be dialectical, & so it was kinda frowned upon. The kind of stuff you could say, but didn't usually commit to writing.
I have never heard of the word, "faze" not being a preferred word. I was taught that "phase" was never the correct word to use if you were talking about something not bothering you. In fact, my writing teacher was adamant about using it correctly, which is probably why I get so undie bundled about it today! You could say I really get fazed by it! *pulls underpants out of crack*
