Probably observations over one year.

That's a bit depressing.
Toronto's summers are marginally-satisfactory as "summer" imho.
I'd never dream of putting out "one" year observations as the average

From what I've sourced on the net, it "seems" to be pretty much the average - doesn't give the span of records/site though and as mentioned previously, isn't accurate but gives an general idea.

If you provide stats. (which should be easy seeing you're a local with access to Canadian databases) stating otherwise, I'm more than happy to take your word for it.

I already provided them (in effect) when I gave the link to Canadian climate normals!! Average for one Toronto site was about 2038. See also my comments about percentages.

Just need warmer winters?
Actually I think our Oct-thru-Apr averages are "a pile-of-toss."
When it isn't winter, avg highs "should" be 18+ C; the kind of temperate climate I wouldn't hate.

Default Something to be unhappy about

Seems we've had 10-15 days since June 01st, 2010 with FULL, dark overcast all day.
Today is another one.

Our summers though "relatively warm," are nothing at all like a winter in the northern Caribbean.
When you think about our sun angle at noon in summer vs. sun angle at noon in the Caribbean in winter, it doesn't make any sense.

It's frustrating because I familiar from being on holidays with places were 5+ days a weak,
the sun is reliably hot, or hottish and muggy because it's diffused though milky, partly cloudy skies.

Maybe my problem is I "know" what it's like having EVERY day at 78+ F/26+ C with no chance of a cool afternoon.

Summers are too variable here for my tastes; too many days erring on cool and/or dark...
And it only gets worse when autumn arrives.

Yes, I did see what you referred to previously. Forgive my "pedantic" nature. I'm not dissing you at all. Just that I'd rather get some "actual" stats. from a real "local" like CC if he can provide some.

No offence intended to anyone, but I'd much rather get my stats. from an accredited organisation than from any "local" - including myself. I always make a point of ensuring that anything I quote can be backed up thus. No doubt the Canadian met. can supply recent data on request, don't know if they charge.

I'm always the "happy camper" but the weather this summer is on my nerves! Can't get much done outside, way too humid, it has been a corker!

Warmest summer ever long time TR residents claim and I'm inclined to believe them! We also had the rainiest July ever, too!

I just got back from Iowa and it was brutal there, we ended up being indoors quite a bit of the time.

Thumbs down Cool wet and cloudy for the entire Labour Day Weekend

Saturday: High of 19 C/67 F, wind and scattered showers, variable cloud
Sunday: High of 20 C/68 F, more scattered cloud and showers
Monday: High of 25 C/77 F, but mainly cloudy skies.

Currently at noon, it's 15 C/59 F, breezy and mainly cloudy.

We just finished a lovely heatwave, with highs from 85-92 F every day, lows from 68-75 F, but not "very" muggy conditions, dewpoints from 65-70 F. (drier than our last heatwave ) I wish we had that for this weekedend, or at least some settled sunny weather in the 70' F. I would gladly trade our forecast for a weekend with highs somewhere in the low 100's F.
