There is a thunderstorm on the way as I type and I am unhappy because the window in my car won't roll up. My car door doesn't have a top door frame so I have no way to cover it.
....AND far more sun than Sydney over the majority of the year.
True. Perth gets around 600-700 hours more sun than Sydney pa on average. However Perth gets most of it's sun during the "dry" season (spring through summer to autumn). Sydney gets the majority of it's sunshine from late winter - early summer, especially August and September).
So, my computer chair has just broken. You know the kind of wheelie chair which has five "spars" with wheels at the end? One of those spars has just completely snapped in half!
I thought this type of thing happened to fat people!
Pales in comparison to a cloudier Nov or Dec here though, like with a paltry 25-45 hrs of sun for the entire month.
Can't say for sure, but I believe I've seen months where we recorded less than 30 hrs of sun.
Really? I'd like to see more evidence of this please. All-time lowest amount of sun Sydney's recorded is July 1950 when 74 hours recorded. That's from the old city site. As for the current airport site which began operating in 1976, it's June 1989 with 111 hours.

Sorry, don't have any.
But I do remember seeing monthly sun totals in the Toronto Star newspaper towards the last few days of a month (25th? 27th?)
and seeing 37 hrs of sun. And it wasn't noticeably sunny after that.
We need a good reason to be sunny here; I've seen full overcast at 103.something kPa!
I'm not happy that the temps reached nearly 100 degrees here in NW NC today... too hot, even for me! And tomorrow is forecast to be just as hot!
