I remember it snowing briefly in April 07 or 08 I think. I specifically remember it was April as I was walking my puppy near the river in York and thinking how awful and unusual it was. Not sure when in April though.

It was 2008 I believe, right at the start of April around this time. I think there was a bit of lying snow in London which made the news as it is very rare to get lying snow so late on.

You're probably thinking of 6th April 2008 - I remember that one in particular because I happened to be passing through London that day. Was quite surprising to see patches of snow lying outside King's Cross station after midday at that time of year. Hampstead had 6 cm that morning, but I don't know about anywhere else. That was the really odd year when Hampstead had lying snow in March, April, October and November but none of the actual winter months.

Yes, I was actually in northern France at the time, but heard about it on the news over there, seemed to be quite a big thing. I wasn't that surprised because it felt very chilly for early April even in France!

The airport had snow in May

1979, 1981, 1989, 1995, 1997, 1999.
Although I seen snow about three years ago in May. I am higher and colder so often airport will just record rain, i have probably at least 5 days more snow than them.
So snows in May more than I though.

No it isn't. We are colder in spring than England so we see snow more than them so you are actually Wrong. Also the airmasses in spring are from the nw which they do crap in!

It just snowed about two weeks ago. Some of them seen no snow!
