Must be really really rare to snow in the spring anywhere in the UK. I'm pretty sure it snows more often here in April than it does over there, lol. I mean, hell, last week it was in the 60s, then on Monday it snowed!

It snows occasionally in March, but April snow is definitely not common. I mean, we might get the occasional shower that turns to snow if it's heavy enough, but settling snow is very unusual, away from high ground.

No lying snow here after this date so far this century unless I've forgotten something, though 1998 and 1999 both had some in mid-April. Latest this century I'm aware of was 6 April 2008.

We had an inch of wet snow on 4 April 2012, but it was all gone by midday. I don't remember the last time we had settling snow in April, bar that one event.

I seriously can't see how NI gets any lying snow in April. It is the most oceanic place in the UK isn't it, besides the southwest of England
