You know Palm Beach is more than the touristy, bland part you probably go to there are some seriously screwed up places in PB.....e.g. Riviera Beach, Lake Worth, Belle Glade, etc.
Owen hates anything that isn't Anglo-Saxon. Literally. He's like those posh characters in the first season of Benidorm. You know, the really stuck up couple from London?

I don't understand some Brits. They want hot, they think only Florida is hot. Wtf? All of the states in the summer get highs in excess of 25°C. It's only the northern states bordering western Ontario and the Canadian Prairies that don't get hot. Even then they are all much warmer than NI, warmer than southern England. Silly, uninformed Brits only think the sun and heat exist in the "Sunbelt". Half of the US has tropical-like weather conditions in the summertime But, what do I know? I only live here full-time

There is heat everywhere, but if you are looking for tropical type of beaches, bars, and atmosphere you wouldn't go to the Northeast. I love Maine, but it is not where I go for the balmy type of beach time I find all up and down the Gulf Coast. California would work, but the OP has not mentioned CA. I don't choose FL for my vacations very often, but hey if that is what he wants more power to him.
