This old diesel engine factory is to be converted to loft apartments. From 40m2 to 100m2 an apartment. First "floor" for cars and the others for living.

The fences have been removed and there's now a pedestrian/public transport street on the beachfront.

The inner yard will probably be a park, and the lower factory building is meant as stores and other business.

Time to start to save up money, then?

That's cool. Some random Arabian millionaire is set to buy an old office building here and convert it to 'luxury apartments'. More apartments I can't afford!

Here, 8.5 square miles of forest have been cleared for a transit oriented development. This involves a 4 platform train station, 2 shopping plazas, a YMCA, 110 acre park with jogging trail, over 100 apartments, a school, and Bars. Just hope suicidal drunks dont flood Route 1 and kill people. Our family oriented small town with a church and plenty of fresh foliage is just DONE FOR. Peaceful neighborhoods have been disrupted, and schools will worsen. Overcrowding is inevitable at this point .

This should have gone in the unhappy thread, right? I certainly would have put it there. Sounds awful.

Yeah, it is. The riverfront looks hideous at the moment: Bing Maps - Driving Directions, Traffic and Road Conditions
Those concrete pens are been completely renovated and a band of houses are being built. Should look like this: https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-r...kaava-1024.jpg

Already looked much better in October: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-s...0532.jpg?gl=FI

Expensive, yes, but not quite 'luxury' either. The Arab billions aren't reaching up here.

A few lightning strikes being detected between Cincinnati and Louisville in the last hour. Fingers crossed...

Tomorrow's going to be a hectic day for me. Unless the snowstorm overnight is really severe and cancels class. It could. I see a forecast for snow and freezing rain, snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches. I had an exam originally scheduled for Thursday get pushed back to Tuesday. Would be funny (and convenient) to have it postponed again.

10.0 hours of bright sunshine recorded yesterday. We haven't had that much sunshine in a day since October 16.

We still have a shot at the title of cloudiest February on record though.

We might hit the cloudiest since 1981 yet... St. Petersburg's got less than 5 hours this month, and we're not much ahead. I could estimate around 10 hours total before today...
