Why? It's easier being 18 than say 25. Life seems to get more complicated as you get older. I'm 27 but I still feel 21. I'm dreading reaching 30 though.

Well you have to grow up.

Exams and pressure to conform. Teenagers are horrible.

Sometimes you have to learn the hard way.

I kind of miss being 18. Other than not having much money it's a laugh, especially if your mates are nearby. I certainly didn't imagine that I'd have what I have now when I was 18 though.

I enjoy budgeting and working out how much money I need to allocate to certain areas, and how much money I will potentially have left over once everything has been paid out. I tried my best never to overspend when I first started living independently, but during university, the allure of getting pissed (to put it in colloquial terms) was too much to resist. I think I did alright though - probably better than my peers.

I am good with money though, especially now. I always save a little every month, and try not to spend too much on nights out.

PS - 27 in August. FML.

No one could possibly describe putting yourself into a state of disaster as "fun"

I was making big bucks as soon as I left high school (even while I was still at high school), so I have never worried about money much. Had a bit of a change in fortune recently (for the worse), but things are looking better now.

I still like partying, but don't have much inclination to spend beyond tat. Might do an overseas holiday this year though.

I couldn't wait to leave home when I was younger! Yes it was a struggle having to pay for everything (rather than the tiny amount I paid my parents as 'keep'!) but it was worth it to have the freedom to do whatever I pleased, come & go as I pleased & have anyone round (& stay the night too) if I wanted

It made me much closer to my parents too, as not living with them stopped any rows that we used to have etc..

Oh & as this is the happy thread I am happy as my Mum is coming out to see me next week

Frantically trying to find cheaper flights.

We are going to book the flights tonight but American airlines are the cheapest and I hate the look of their cabins.
