When you go to the supermarket (or when Mummy does) what system do they use? Pounds? No. Kilos.

I don't know anyone that still measures in stones & pounds. Perhaps Northern Ireland is just stuck in a time warp, but in England we use kilos, even my bathroom scales are in kilos...

You don't know anybody that measures kilos? Finally, conclusive proof that you don't have any friends.

And what? No offence but the measurements actually say grams not kilos. (KILOGRAMS).

That is only done because it was made law by the EU who are metric and trying to force us into it, but everyone does use pounds and stones to make measurements. My mum takes part in sliming world and people get rewards for losing pounds.

My bathroom scales measure in Pounds and stones. Here are a few scales from Argos which are new containing pounds and stones.

Buy Weight Watchers Designer Precision Electronic Scale at Argos.co.uk - Your Online Shop for Bathroom scales.
Buy Salter Magnifying Mechanical Scale at Argos.co.uk - Your Online Shop for Bathroom scales.
Buy Salter Body Analyser Scale - White at Argos.co.uk - Your Online Shop for Body fat monitors and scales, Bathroom scales.

So do NOT call me a liar or talk nonsense. This is not a metric country.

grams are 1/1000 of a kilo. It is a metric unit.

DERP

oh, and those links with the bathroom scales.... Kilos are printed as prominently on the unit as stones are and kilos are the primary listed rating in the description with stones in brackets.
