Usually it's defined as a forecast heat index at or above 110F (43C). Heat indices above that level tend to be dangerous to human health if people exert themselves a lot in those temperatures.
No break in the heat and humidity for Fort Worth Texas until Tuesday. Today and tomorrow will likely see highs in the mid to upper 90’s with heat indices above 100, the next chance for rain also will be arriving in Fort Worth Texas tomorrow afternoon and tomorrow night, then a downturn in temperatures can be expected for much of next week.

Depends where and what season. They're certainly seeing more extreme heat then we are. We're actually seeing fewer extreme heat episodes. I want my global warming in the summer darn it!

Maybe a shot today. Feels hotter today. Usually the day before the front comes through is the hottest of the period. Would make sense today is. Unless clouds and storms prevent it. It didn't here.
Really impressed how clean the air looks. Still cray outside. there's a breeze today. Not sure which day has been worse.

^Yeah it'd actually be a really nice day out if it was about 100 degrees colder (referring to the comment about the clean air).
While I'm not even that bothered by this heat... any day of the week I'll always prefer '100 minus X' degrees F over 'X' degrees F. Assuming X > 50 of course. In fact I would even prefer '100 minus 2X' degrees over X degrees (assuming X>33) for most of the year.
