6:30am temps. Some spots are already in the 80s including Boston, Bridgeport, NYC, Islip, and many in NJ. Sun is shining.

You ever feel the top or back of an A/C? A lot of heat is released from it. Go feel one if you haven't. It goes into the air. Millions of air conditioners running pumping heat into still air and man-made surfaces radiating heat back into the air all night long. #UrbanHeatIslands

Only got .60" of rain as it moved thru so fast. But that is better than no rain. The axis of the high will get pushed to the south this coming week.

Yeah I thought that was insane, probably an all-time record for the 6am hour, but then the following hour it dropped to 85.

Lots of thunderstorm activity this morning over the city and north suburbs

My redevelop in the south suburbs by me this afternoon

https://twitter.com/NWSChicago/statu...02432717967360

As of the 20th the average high/low at ORD is 88.5/69.6F (31.4/20.9C) with a mean of 79.0F (26.1C) which is +5.0F
Midway airport has an average high of 89.3F an average low of 71.4F (31.8/21.9C) and a mean of 80.3F (26.8C)
IKK has an average high of 89.1F (31,7C) and an average low of 69.8F (21.0C)

ORD's forecast shows below average temps here for the next few days but average to above average by Thursday. Also dry after today and tomorrow morning. Our averages and positive anomalies will fall this week but they will definitely still be enough to make up for the crap June if this forecast is correct.

GFS ensemble and CFS do show cooler conditions this week here but then near normal beyond that

You are on it. It's in the books. 88° at 6am was the warmest temp on record for 6am. Sent Daryl a note regarding the 127°.

Today, my location saw 44.2°C officially. Now the temperature is dropping as it is close to 5 pm.

When the wind blows, I feel an air on fire in my face but it doesnt make me sweat much due to the low humidity. The dewpoint was 10.7°C during the hottest time of day.

I take more notice of the heat when the wind blows when I am in the shade. An air on fire comes when the wind blows towards my face.

Yesterday's high was 43.9°C. Tomorrow's forecast high is 44°C as well. All days going with highs of 44°C

Indoors feel a lot worse than outdoors even though it is cooler. dont really sweat much outside but when I am indoors, oh man, I am sweating terribly all over myself.

AC is needed 100% for even places that has dry extreme heat because indoor feels nothing like outdoors. Indoors feels like it is humid. Thats the way I feel when I am indoor.
