Feels more like a nice day in October than a typical June day, low 70’s with low humidity. Nice, but not exactly what I want, I’d prefer more summer-like weather (coming tomorrow), but it’s early June I’ll let it slide.

WHAT A DAY! Stunning.

I'm back in CT, what a difference between strength of sun down in Cape May NJ.. Only a 5 degree difference in temps and with similar dew points but it was much hotter down there.

I'll be posting pics maybe by this weekend.

Could be one of the coolest June's in years here...
When that air comes off of 91 degree gulf temps it will suck the life out of ya. 3 weeks and not a drop of rain.

My forecast for the next week or so:

Cool and wet, which is fine with me because I won’t have to use air conditioning. It’ll be nice to save some on the electric bill. I do hope the pattern doesn’t last all of June though. I like highs around 80F and lows around 60F in the summer.

Models backtracking all the time. Now showing unsettled with below average temperatures all the way out to the 2nd half of the month.

The only hope is that we are having a 1983, 1995, 2013 style summer, which all had poor unsettled Junes but a good July/August.

What do you know, more storms overnight

https://twitter.com/NWSChicago/statu...63394736627712

CFSv2 saying some drying for the Northern tier but the southern states stay wet all June. believing this.

https://twitter.com/QTweather/status...33698669449216

Euro also showing some drying for the Northern Midwest

Interesting that all the years below are from lakeside stations except 1983 (and this year). 1983 turned out to be a scorching hot summer so there is still some hope.

82F/28C again today at ORD but then below normal through the weekend and into next week, but at least the sun will be out for most of the time

Euro showing below normal temps at least until the 13th of the month (and beyond)

Over in Europe, the ECMWF keeps the warmer anomalies over Eastern Europe for the foreseeable future

No sign of any settled weather in June. Probably another abnormal 2007 or 2012 clone where Scandinavia and E Europe take W Europe's summer.
