Epic heat there! Martha's Vineyard is 77 so if you want to cool off you know where to go!
Water temps in the 60s right now. But how long can you stay in the water for without turning into a prune with a sunburnt head? Then the walk back to the car will be miserable so what's the point in going in the water for relief? I'd rather lock myself in an air conditioned closet.

There's something we'll never/rarely get here. Dews under 60 with temps above 90.
Dews will be near 70°F with temps in the 90s Sat & Sun.
Wow, Phoenix may hit 115 today. Forecasted high of 114. Dewpoint is below 55, back to 49 so the monsoon season still hasn't arrived. (The start of the monsoon season is defined as 3 consecutive days of above 55 dewpoint).
Vegas will be very hot today at 109, possibly hitting 110 for the first time this year. Dewpoint is still bone dry at 28. No sign whatsoever of the monsoon season.
FirebirdCamaro1220 pointed out to me in a DM that "Las Vegas has already hit 110°F twice, they hit 111°F on Saturday and 110°F on Sunday"

First, 77 is comfy enough to get an umbrella and sit in the shade and listen to some music without needing to go in the water, but ...
If you want to go in the water, if you apply correct sunscreen your head won't burn.
I guess the winter equivalence would be going to a hot spring, eventually you'll be pruned up and your head will be frozen. There's only so long you can last doing that. Still, it's very popular at ski resorts and even on the hottest days, you'll see plenty of people on Miami's beaches. Hot water and cold air or cool water and hot air, they mix well. Humans are great at maximizing the effects of evaporation.
Personally I'm like a lizard, the sun gives me energy but if I get too hot I jump in the water. Love socializing with others at the beach. Beer helps too.
It's raining pretty good here right now. Weren't even supposed to have rain today and even the weather forecast shows it as partly cloudy right now yet it's full overcast and coming down.

More t-storms this afternoon; I got 0.76". My total rainfall since Friday evening is 3.79".
The next couple of days look drier with temps in the low 90's. Scattered t-storms returning this weekend and next week may be on the wet side.
