That atmosphere seems to have been in La Nina state for over a month here. The ENSO is still a Modoki El Nino.

Big storms overnight for the northern half of Chicagoland. Sunniest first week of August since the Dust Bowl. The temps for the first week of August are running +2.1F above normal at ORD but only +0.6F above normal here near IKK

The JMA is showing BIGTIME heat in week two and even week 3 for the eastern 2/3rds. Hppe so I want to rack up more 90s to at least reach the long-term average if not surpass it.
