I just want some rain! This tenth of an inch once a week is just not cutting it. We did have a nice downpour yesterday evening. It was one little storm that seemed to pop up right over us and dissipated about as quickly. They had been saying rain was likely this afternoon again but now it's been reduced to just a 50% chance.

Here in Seattle it's totally socked in with a nice dense fog, and 59F. When the sun breaks through later, it's supposed to get up to 83F, which is just about as hot as I am comfortable with.

Halle-freakin'-lujah. Past 2 or 3 days have been so pleasant relative to July, that I've actually been taking walks outside which are longer than 5 minutes.

Göle had a low of 1°C today, which was the lowest temperature recorded in Turkey today while Silopi had a high of 42.7°C today, which was the highest temperature recorded in Turkey today.

Cizre had the second hottest high today with 42.5°C

Cizre usually gets the hottest high in the country while Silopi gets the second hottest high but at times they replace their positions.

Gfs has 0c 850 levels as far south as London. Could yield some low 60s or even upper 50s for highs which is not too insane

Negative PNA usually coincides with eastern Ridge and western trough. EPO is negative which is a cold signal but not deeply negative. When the WPO is negative that too is a cold signal but again it's only slightly negative. NAO positive which is a warm signal. Let's see which teleconnection wins out. That's a pretty deeply negative PNA. I vote for late month warmth for the eastern 2/3rds in fact Bastardi says big heatwave for the Northeast at the end of the month

No it is not. Google is based on unofficial weather websites and its temps go way too off in a lot of places here.

I've been to Göle 2 winters and seen how cold it is in winter. Google pulls numbers out of its ass. Temperatures are nothing like what Google says.

Been to both Göle and Ardahan in winter. Göle is damn colder than Ardahan. I've seen it. So just stop it

And I took this photo when I was in Göle this winter. I put my termometer outside and it was showing -30°C.
