St. Louis' average annual snowfall is around 18" (45cm). They could get it all in two days. But I've seen bands of sleet on radar cutting into those amounts in some spots.

The snow started falling earlier here in Kansas City than expected, but it melted for several hours. I might have a half-inch on the grass as of 8:00 p.m. Friday in northern Johnson County. The eastern side of K.C. has around two inches in spots right now. I've seen 5-6" totals so far in Columbia and 6-7" in St. Louis.

2:30-6:30amCST loop. Seeing reports of 6-12" in Missouri already and still coming down. Chicago like Philly will get scraped with a little bit.

Even Northern Kentucky getting in on it. I see 1-3" has fallen in some areas already.

Look at the snow totals on the right. STL with 9.8" already. 3 more inches and it's 6th largest all time. They might end up 2nd largest

6-8" expected for Indianapolis !

Less than an inch for Philly. None for NYC. Atlantic City got more snow than NYC after mid November this season and more coming.

Weather Channel covering it live from downtown St Louis.

Kansas City. Crews have been working through the night. Stay home! Wonder if this is an old pic. None on grass?

I'm seeing 4-6" around Kansas City but its almost over now. This is more like it.

RadioSilence got it...I have 4-5 inches here in Platte County. The snow sticks to everything and it is absolutely stunning.

Imagine if this storm had been colder? We would have been buried!

Cambium: yes that's an old photo, probably from before 11pm which was when accumulation really picked up.

Have you taken any snow pictures? I assume the hills of Platte County will look quite nice today!
