Trawsgoed in Ceredigion has recorded 19.3°C as early as 11:36 GMT this morning, making it the warmest February day on record for Wales and highly likely that the UK record of 19.7 will go.

Crazy winds yesterday. There was a building collapse blamed on the wind. One semi was blown over on I-69. At least 3 trees fell onto either houses or a garage. Personally, our neighbor lost a bit of siding at their roof peak. I saw lots and lots of tree branches and a few limbs down as well as a couple wood fence sections blown down. Amazingly we never lost power, though I guess at one point 15,000 people were without power yesterday. Highest wind gust was 64mph northeast of here. In Indy, the highest gust was 66mph.

I wish it was England breaking the UK record, not Wales!

I wish it was Pershore but it’s never going to happen is it? 20.3C now recorded in Trawsgoed, which breaks the record and is absolutely unprecedentedly warm for winter in the UK.

First day back in Edmonton and winter is not letting its grip go.

Upcoming week continues the pattern of the last month.

Edmonton hasn't had a February this cold in a generation.

Check out Mt Washington's wind gusts

Yeah, I saw that coastal low last night and didn't realize one formed. The pressure gradient would of been strong even without the coastal low IMO. Sub 980mb low in Canada would of meant 990 pressure for us anyway as High Pressure moved in.. That coastal low is too far north for us to feel the real affects of it. Maine and Nova Scotia feel it more.

Think about this... Winds have been strong from Ohio down to Virginia. Not because of that coastal storm. But because its there, I'm sure its a little factor too

NWS NY
I assumed it was the coastal low before checking since there was a heavy rainstorm yesterday morning. Winds is picking up this morning
