Didn't really get much here with the storm system this afternoon. Just a bit of heavy rain. There may not have been any thunder. Dewpoint dropped to the upper 50's after passage of dry line. Forecast to get down to 42F tonight.
I've been enjoying the cold-air damming here in northeast Georgia. The high temperature in Athens on Saturday was 60°F, sometime during the wee hours of the morning. Then the temperature dropped to the lower 50s after sunrise, and it stayed there for the rest of the day. Now the temperature has dropped into the mid-40s. This should make the thunderstorms entering Georgia right now less vigorous as they move east. They should arrive in my area around sunrise. After that, we'll have a high in the mid-60s and clearing skies, but lows the next two mornings will be in the mid-30s.
Now we got winds and rain starting here. Hope I dont have to deal with a power outage. I wonder if Michigan winds have a name like the Santa Anas or Chinook or Foehn.
Mostly clear sky for the first time in a while this morning. Got down to 43F this morning. Forecast to be 64F and sunny today. Low of 37F forecast tonight.
