Yeah, that's not looking good for us at all. I still say too early to give up on winter though as February could turn out better than expected.

Nice day here. Cumulus clouds, sunshine, winds, and ....oh temps in the 40s. Never mind. Could pass for March.

Current Map. I'm impressed now. Upper low still around down there???? Over Texas today. So it snows several inches in Arizona, New Mexico, texas, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Virginia but we can't get more than 1/4" in this region???

A mild winter would be nice, hopefully without a super cold March this time

I hate split flow patterns. Those end up being the worst for featuring a lack of snow and cold. This winter will end up milder than some strong blowtorch El Niño events at this rate.

Forecast for tomorrow is abundant sunshine here. It keeps saying sunshine and we get low cloud. Let’s hope it’s right this time.

Well the sun finally burst onto the scene today. It waited until around 1:30PM. It's around 46F right now, it didn't make the low 50's like they predicted but much better than the upper 30's like yesterday.

Tomorrow the upper level low finally leaves (adios, you won't be missed). Tonight will be 34F under clear skies but the sun returns tomorrow and high of 63. 69F on Saturday!

Lol, really is saying a lot when cold lovers like Chicagogeorge are completely quiet, he must have nothing to say about the current weather patterns and the extended forecast for the plains and Midwest. Currently I am out to lunch at the mall in Fort Worth Texas, after today the weather is looking mild and dry in Fort Worth with only a slight chance of rain in a few days.

Southwestern Oklahoma got a good bit of snow from the ULL, and Norman got some ice, but I'm back in North Carolina on break, so I'm missing it.
