"climate"? No. But when you get rain every 2-4 days you have to admit that gets annoying especially for those who actually do things or work outside.

Seattle's wettest year was 55 inches. I had 68 inches in my backyard last year and it wasn't from 1-2 storms. lol. Constant.. Maybe it wasn't like Seattle's normal weather but no way I can tolerate clouds and precip like you guys usually get, or lack of snow... not my ideal place to be. lol.

Here's a look at 2018 Precip totals.

I'm watching and waiting for end of week. Looks like a nice trough comes in with colder air. Also... Aside from like 2 runs of the Euro, this season has really been lacking the Fantasy snowstorms in long range. Just give me a fantasy blizzard at least. lol

So today was supposed to be sunny... Not this morning. 3rd day in a row now with clouds.

I don't think I had more than a month total of weather I liked in this area in past 10 months. Clouds, Rain, Humid, too hot, ColdSnowy Spring, mist, ect. I don't think I'm being too greedy. Just give me seasons with some sun mixed in and half the rain amount. Gees. lol

National Weather Service New York NY
644 AM EST Sun Jan 6 2019

Deepening low pressure will continue to track northward into the
Canadian Maritimes, while high pressure builds in tonight through
Monday.

Low clouds have worked across most of the forecast with the
exception of far eastern Long Island and southeast Connecticut.
Expect the cloud cover to expand across the areas as well in the
next couple of hours
. Additionally, the insulating effects of
the clouds have increased temperatures lessening the potential
for patchy black ice across the interior.

That kind of blue cloudless sky has been pretty rare here for months now.
Now I know how parts of europe and PNW feel.

I can live with that year round. But would like some heavy rain events with 4" every week like i saw in Dec.

No super cold that i can see anytime soon. Just don't want anything below 29f for more than 1 hour or my plants get killed like last year.

This is what the deep South/Texas looks like.

Pretty wet here for the year, though more than 5 inches short of making the top 10 wettest. The total per my gauge is more than 6 inches less than the airport's.

As you can see right on the west coast of FL how much less rain it got vs inland just like i tried to tell AJ. When he said i lied about my rainfall totals. Lake land FL had over 72" vs much less on the west coast thanks to a reverse west windflow all summer. You people need to understand when FL is in a reverse west windflow during the summer the west coast right on the gulf gets much less rain vs just inland 2 to 50 miles. Both coast see less rain on avg than inland areas.

The lack of sunshine and daylight over the past few months has been driving me crazy as well. It seems impossible for nature to throw out clear sunny days in winter unless you have extreme cold involved.
