Crazy! Intense. The details we will never know about till day of. You might end up over a foot easily. Unless things start drying out, it's not even close to being done there. And the winds might pick up there tomorrow too.

There it is. The new coastal storm is forming off Delaware. After 3am the PA storm will transfer to the coastal and the Upper Low moves over and it will bomb out off the coast.

Current Surface Pressure Map

Pressures are falling off the coast.. A 4mb drop in past 3 hours.

Honestly I've never seen such a wide range of forecasts WROC says 4-7 inches for Rochester the NWS says 8-12 and TWC says 12-18, and the storm has already started

Yeah, winds gonna get crazy. Might subside for you faster than points west.

DC just issued an statement. High impact wind storm with power outages likely. Keep in mind ground is saturated.

Cape Cod forecast has wind gusts up to 70 mph tomorrow. Coastal Flood Warning

COASTAL FLOOD IMPACTS...Up to major coastal flooding in much
of the warning area with severe damage to vulnerable shoreline
structures likely. Some vulnerable homes along the immediate
shoreline may be destroyed from the combination of high water
and severe wave action. There will be widespread inundation of
coastal roads and basements with life-threatening inundation
depths above 3 feet in some locations, especially where wave
overwash is involved. Many neighborhoods may be at risk of
being cut off for an extended time. Flood waters will be
extremely slow to recede after the late Friday morning high
tide. This is a very dangerous storm, and evacuation of some
neighborhoods will likely be necessary.

Lots of wind here already with many, many hours to go yet.

From Kevin Myatt at the Roanoke Times:

UPDATE 10:45 PM, 3/1/2018: High winds have gotten off to a fast start on this Thursday evening, with already 24,000+ customers without power in Appalachian Power's service area through West Virginia and Virginia, including more than 6,000 in Roanoke and Botetourt counties alone.

Blue-green flashes of "lightning" observed in Botetourt County by many turned out to be exploding transformers. Winds have already gusted over 60 mph at Mountain Empire Airport southwest of Wytheville with 40+ gusts common across the region.

9:45pm-1:45am loop. Looks like the transfer has been made. 994mb coastal storm off the NJ coast

See the lightning icon pop up with the snow.

Multiple Lightning Strikes with snow in East Aurora, NY. 11.5" on the ground and still snowing

See it? No more closed surface low over PA. The coastal is taking over and will bomb out now.
