I believe there is a full moon as well.

Last 4 runs of the NAM. I know. Technical. This is why forecasts change though. Watch "the inside circle". The core at the mid level. Trend got colder for NYC and Southern New England. Notice it's more southeast than previous runs for the exact same timeframe Friday 1pm.

Watching this now. Bernie Video. This is how I learned a lot about weather and technicals (still learning!) by listening to the Pros on video. Posts can only do so much.

I cant stop starring at this. Future radar loop per the HiRes NAM model.

Watch the rain come from the SW, then the storm just stop off the coast, then changes to snow Friday morning and comes from the Northeast as the storm moves southeast.

Posted a week ago... Amazing how the GFS and models pick these things up so far out!

1st.. There is the potential for a long duration and big storm around this time frame. GFS been showing it since 4 days ago (11 days before this storm date) but now all other models are showing it so confidence is increasing..
And Here it comes......

Last 4 hrs

Current Alerts. There's actually a Hurricane Wind Watch for off the coast. Boaters better be aware!

My official backyard forecast, 1-2"

Actually looking better than a few days ago. The most recent Euro model has 2.4-3.2" for me, but the top 3" of soil has thawed out, so I'm doubting the snow will stick much.

All 3 predictions were revised upwards overnight, not it looks like 2 record and the # 5 highest reading all in 3 successive tide cycles. Also of note since they are hourly forecasts if the surge doesn't peak right on the hour it would be higher without them being wrong, although tides are at like 11:55, 12:00 and 12:05 so they should be close.

Keep us posted. I heard there were voluntary evacuations going on for some communities along the coast in NJ and MA?

Nice, there's more snow chances coming next 14 days for you too.
