7pm Map. Drier air working its way south now and precip ending North to south over MA, CT, RI, & NJ as the storm moves SOUTHEAST. (You don't say that often either)
Still snowing over NJ but lightly now. Looks like a heavy area around Philly. Philly had snow falling for 7hours. Wonder how much accumulated at the airport. I saw suburbs got a few inches.
Stuff over NY State looks like it will dissipate as well next few hours but the hills and mountains might create some more.

Lucky people while i am stuck with boring weather and no rain.
The number of outages in my area more than doubled since my last post. The number of sirens I heard today is up to 9.
I lost half power and no hot water for the last 4 hours. Word is this is going to take a while. Winds still very much kicking out there.
Latest from WTOP (excerpt):
WASHINGTON — Damaging winds with some gusts topping 70 mph toppled trees and power lines, leading to major power outages and travel delays across the D.C. area.
As of about 8:30 p.m. Friday, more than 640,000 customers in the D.C. area were without power. The strong winds are complicating efforts to restore power, officials with local power companies say, and it may take a while to turn the lights back on.
The effects of those severe winds prompted both Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam and Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan to declare states of emergency.

lol.. I tell you.. the sound of a train whizzing by every 5-10 minutes can get irritating but to experience the power of a NorEaster is always welcome. Just wish it came with snow.

Nice! I wanna look back at which model had the snow totals the closest. Kinda interesting how they showed NJ with some but not CT. Almost like they knew the rotating band would be stuck west of NYC.

My cousin who lives near Poughkeepsie got a foot. He's about 45 min from me.
Just 10 minutes north of me got snow on the ground.

I was texting some people can you imagine this happened with a foot of snow on the ground? Power would be out for days maybe weeks for some. There are areas like my cousin who have downed trees and snowpacked roads. So much harder to clear and fix wires so takes more time.
