3 more days to go!

For Bridgeport, CT its the coldest April since 1975. 6th coldest on record. 6" of snow this month makes it the 2nd snowiest.

Interesting to note 1966 & 1967 were the coldest on record and then the following year in 1968 it was the warmest April at the time.

Then 1974 was warmest and following year was 2nd coldest.

For Hartford, CT... Coldest April since 1956! Nobody younger than 62 yrs old experienced an April like this.

3rd coldest on record since 1905. 7.6" of snow = 4th snowiest April on record

now, just cleared up now, with a few clouds lingering. Partly cloudy. Strong cold front forecast this evening:

via weather.us. Looks like the cold front will pass by here but no big impacts compared to further north.

NWS New York discussion:

The cold front passes slowly through the area this evening into
tonight as the closed upper low continues to drift through New
England and energy rotates through the low. Once the cold front
passes probabilities will be lowered to slight chance and
chance. Will keep slight chance probabilities Sunday, however,
there may be several hours of dry weather as timing of the waves
of energy remains uncertain.

Here's the cold front upstate right now:

April 1-27, 2018 average temperature in KC: 45.9F

Coldest April on record, 1983: 46.3F.

Forecast high on April 30, 2018: 81F.

It'll likely be the second-coldest on record. I can't say I'm not disappointed, I was really hoping for the record, but it's still impressive.

Monthly mean temperature for April 2018 the 1st through the 27th: 46.8 F, my gut feeling tells me that Indianapolis will likely have a top 10 coldest April on record, probably the 8th or 9th coldest on modern record.
