In NW Missouri we continue to sit at 0 snow. In fact, I don't think any measurable snow has been recorded so far in the entire state - only a trace, on Halloween of all times for it to happen. Brownsville, TX at a nearly-tropical latitude getting snow before me! Also had four straight weeks with zero precipitation, which ended with a very little bit of light drizzle on Sunday morning (17 Dec).

I took a look at November 1st comments from CoCoRaHS reporters.. Looks like some spots did see snow flakes on Halloween. You would know where those areas are better than me.

You should become a CoCoRaHS volunteer and report for them everyday. They're always looking for more.

Remember: Every morning reports are for past 24hrs.

Top 30 Snowiest Locations per NWS Climo Sites through Dec 30th..

Erie, PA the highlight of the month with 121.8" which is over 7 feet above normal to date and more fell overnight.

Caribou makes it to 8th spot with 37.8"

Nice to see some northeast sites on there. Buffalo, Rochester, Bangor, Burlington, Gray, Syracuse, Caribou.

Montana still dominating

Bangor Maine has 27.7" this season so far which is 11.5" above normal to date. All of it came this month alone and so December 2017 is 10th snowiest on record

Updated with numbers through the end of December. Despite the cold temperatures there's only 1 to 2 inches of snow on the ground in southern WI. The northern part of the state has more snow but it's still less than normal.

Sorry, was up in Vermont and not posting much during my time up there haha. Stowe Ski resorts snow depth was very impressive (approx 30", and they've had 99" so far this season!) I saw on my twitter feed, the ski resorts in western PA got 14"+ from the clipper and upslope snow!

https://twitter.com/LaurelMTSki/stat...65680072445952

Luckily, since it didn't get anywhere near 32 at home, I was able to see how much snow I got while I was gone (probably lost a bit due to some compaction, but negligible)

As of 1/2

My backyard:

October: 0.0"
November: 0.6"
December: 17.2" (4.1" from the most recent storm)
January: - 0.3"
February: -
March: -
April: -
May: -

Season: 18.1"

Pittsburgh:

October: 0.0" (-0.3")
November: T" (-3.5")
December: 13.0" (+4.9")
January: T (-12.4")
February: - (-10.3")
March: - (-8.0")
April: - (-1.5")
May: - (-0.1")

Season: 13.0" (-31.2")

Snowiest December since 2013! Snow depth is 5" right now as well, definetly contributing to COLD lows at night. Our forecast low on Saturday looks to be -13 F !

I think we got like 5 inches. There's snowbanks at the corner of my block from the parking lot's snowplow that are knee deep but obviously that's not all from precipitation lol.
