Snow total DEPARTURES from normal to date Through February 11, 2018.

Interesting to see northern Ohio Valley on here. Goes to show how the pattern has been. Atlantic City hanging on there

As of 2/12/2018 7 am. 3.7" yesterday, last night, which was a COMPLETE shock. Don't have the numbers for Pittsburgh yet.

Thoughts on Nome, Alaska being on the list-since western Alaska is having one of its warmer winters on record, probably making for a banner snow year. I'm sure their "warm" temperature are still well below freezing though

Bartlesville: 1.5"
Broken Arrow: T-1.0"
Lawton: 0.9"
Norman: T-0.6"
Moore: 0.3"
Oklahoma City: T-0.1"
Guymon: T
Ponca City: T
Woodward: T
Yukon: T
Stillwater: 0.0"
Muskogee: 0.0"

Pretty much the whole state is below normal on snow, except Miami, which is near normal.

Here's a look at the snowfall total departures to date.. I circled all the NWS locations that are above normal. Hope I didn't miss any. Surprised about Iowa. I thought they had a nice stretch last week with snow days. Maybe missed the airport sites.

Southeast should hold onto the above normal season..
Boston & Richmond will end up below if they don't get more.
Lots of us near normal.
Atlantic City and Islip still a foot above normal and more coming for Islip tomorrow.

Took 6 weeks to get a snowstorm over 2.1". Got 6.9" yesterday in 7 hours!

My backyard: As of 18th

October: 0.0"
November: 0.0"
December: 10.0" (8 snow days)
January: 12.9 (3 snow days)
February: 7.5" (3 snow days)

Season: 30.4" slightly above normal

Top 30 Snowiest NWS Climo locations to date.


Erie continues to be #1. Caribou, Syracuse, Marquette in the 100" club. Marquette is 37.1" below normal.


South Bend Indiana 8th snowiest at 84" over 2 ft above norm to date


Concord, NH on the list almost a foot above normal


Burlington catching up to normal now.


Check out Havre, MT. Normal to date is 27.1". They have 78.3"! Over 4 feet above normal.
Montana having a big season. Great Falls having their snowiest February on record!

Top 30 Snowiest NWS Climate Cities.
  • Erie got another 11.2" this past week so they continue at #1.
  • Syracuse moves into 2nd place with an extra 17.1" of snow in last 7 days. Now almost 2 feet above normal.
  • Rochester with 99.1".
  • Binghamton & Burlington on the list but they are below normal for the season so far.
  • Detroit has 57.7" so far, normal is 34.8" so they are almost 2 feet above normal
  • Great Falls, MT been snowy 2.5 feet above normal
  • Will Syracuse catch Erie?
  • Will Rochester & Buffalo reach the 100" Club?
  • Will Burlington and Concord get knocked off the list next week?
