Congratulations to Bangor & Buffalo for being in the 100" club. Bangor with 21" of snow in past 7 days they move from 11th spot to #6 and have more than Buffalo now. Over 4 feet above normal

Concord was 24th spot last week with 68.5" of snow, this week in 15th spot with 85.6" which is 31.1" above normal to date.

But the biggest move was Worcester, MA. Last week 28th spot with 64.8", this week 14th spot with 86.6" which is 29.3" above normal. 2nd snowiest March on record helped them with that move.

Gray Maine is 5.6" away from 100". South Bend, Indiana is 8.4" away.

Wasn't Syracuse the snowiest city there?? in your list Marquette appears as the one.

Not sure I understand the question. Sorry. Erie is the snowiest on the list. Syracuse is 2nd and has more snow than Marquette

nice call.. Yup..they did but they have 31.9" now.

Leaving this here as well..

Islip Long Island NY blew away the previous March snowfall record. Snowiest March with 31.9". The March mean is 4.5" there. So they are over 2 feet above normal this month.

In Philly, since 1885, only 1 yr had more snow than March this year. 2nd snowiest March on record with 15.2". Normal(mean) is 2.9".

Wow, that's a lot for Erie. Alta in Utah has had 310" this year, but "only" a 90" base currently. Mt. Baker in Washington currently has a "180" base!

Here in Alaska, despite some higher than average figures for the locations mentioned in Cambium's lovely chart, the typical high snow fall areas are way below normal. Valdez is sitting at a pathetic 132" for the year.

Marquette is actually below normal, Syracuse is more above normal than Marquette this season. But yeah, typically Marquette is snowier than Syracuse.

Different look. instead of Snowiest City by the total snowfall... Here's a look at the Top 30 locations above the snowfall normal.
  • Erie with 192.3" is +97.1" above normal to date.
  • Take a look at who's #6 for the entire U.S.. Islip. They are over 3 feet above normal right now with 61.3"
  • Bangor, Maine is over 4 feet above normal to date which puts them at 3rd spot .109" for the season there.
  • Coastal CT Bridgeport makes the list at #30 being 14" above normal.

Pittsburgh, NYC, Burlington, & Hartford were #32, 33, 34, & 35 so they just missed this list. NYC is 10.7" above normal. Hartford is +10.5"

This includes every CLI report in the U.S produced by NWS that includes the snowfall departure from normal data.

animation of snow cover this season. Consistent snow cover didn't arrive till mid December. February had lots of off and on snow cover. March had the most snow of any month, but by now the Connecticut River valley is snow-free but almost everywhere else has snow

As of 4/2/2018 at 7 AM. What a remarkable season. No record or any (for that matter) snow data is available for KBTP, but seems like we'd be in the top 20 snowiest seasons now. Pittsburgh is at 57.4" which has then at the 20th smowiest season ever now.

My backyard:

October: 0.0"
November: 0.6"
December: 17.2"
January: - 25.6"
February: - 14.6"
March: - 14.8"
April: - 4.0"
May: -

Season: 76.8"
Snow depth = 4"
