Exciting time to be keeping tabs on East-Central Siberia.
They reached -59.6ºC. Almost

However, the nearby Delyankir reached -63ºC early in this month.

Got down to 25F here this morning. 39F at noon and sunny. Forecast high of 25F.

Wintry precip potential somewhat uncertain Tuesday, as models have been coming in drier.

Extremely nice today. Mostly sunny and 15C. Doesn't feel like January at all.

Hmmm....could we finally see a backloaded winter here in the west? Unfortunately no arctic blasts in sight, as temps looks normal (3-6C) with near constant rain.

Currently here in Aurora, ME...15F Degrees, Dew Point 6F Degrees, Forecasted Low tonight -2F Degrees. Winds NW 11mph. Been clear and bright all day today!

Sat inside yesterday and watched the rain melt most of the snow (except for where the drifts rest and now look like glaciers floating across the Meadows)..Amazed at how much snow melted..Also, amazed at how quickly the temperatures fell and everything froze again!
Into another chilly week we venture, holding the weekend's moments of peace and warmth closely as an embrace!

Clipper coming Tuesday gets eaten by Appalachian as usual. Little snow.

Front comes Tuesday evening with storm developing off the coast bringing 3-5" of snow.

A 3rd storm, coastal, might miss us Thursday.
