What a crazy thunderstorm that was. Constant thunder and lightning and moderate to heavy rain with gusty winds. The high today was 101F! Its much cooler now with a temperature of 79F with a very muggy 72F!

I've never been caught in a storm while at the beach. Although it's happened to me on the boardwalk (in Wildwood, NJ and Atlantic City, NJ) multiple times. Having to run a couple of miles to your hotel in a severe thunderstorm isn't exactly fun (...maybe a little lol).
There was an 80 MPH wind gust with that storm that hit Santa Barbara!

DP is 72 F here too, not very often we have the same DP!

Overcast and 82 F here. The 72 F dew point feels noticeably less humid than it's been recently.

Are you on vacation, or did you move to MN?

Don't miss the wildfires! Left Oregon on September 15, 2015, heading to the Northeast and Maine!

You'd have liked last winter.

However, you are right, it's warmed up a lot. 2014 and 2015 especially, but we are still setting warm records now as well. It seemed like for a while, every month had record warmth while the opposite happened in the east. Hopefully we can have a record cold month sometime soon to even things out (in the winter preferably).

Yesterday I was in Sapanca. Sapanca had a high of 37.2°C while İzmit had a high of 33°C.

The distance between İzmit and Sapanca is 32 kilometres.
