60F and very overcast and dark here with no sun visible. It has been nice and warm and sunny the last week or so, so today to wake up to this has been quite a shock.

Actually a nice refresher imo. I love heat as much as anyone else but by October I want 70s for highs

Latest GFS for mid next week. Not anomalies here. Just showing the heights.

As the jet stream digs in Western U.S again because the Rocky mountains disappeared, a ridge builds in the East and with a 594dm core.

594 is hot for Summer standards.

Here's the anomaly. 585dm heights is more above normal in Ontario for this time of yr vs 594 in the south.

We're supposed to be seasonably warm that day despite the trough, so confused....

Yeah, looks like you're at the base of it and as the coldest core well north of you swings east you'll miss it. Not going deep enough. Also the anomaly map shows this well being in the normal area. (Seasonable).

I bet the forecasts for Nevada and Idaho are below normal next week. Unless NWS doesnt believe in it yet.

Riding with the windows rolled down today. Yesterday the air was purely tropical (sweaty and stagnant), I love humidity but I need air circulation to go along with it.

Speaking of yesterday... Check out the 24hour temp differences. It was 20-30 degrees warmer yesterday at this time in OH, PA & NY & New England.
