I was referring to last winter.

Blaine, Washington which right on the Canadian border records about double, 5 days but again lots of years with missing data. Vancouver has an average of 8.7 days with snow if the threshold is 0.2 cm; 2.5 days if the threshold is 5 cm. US threshold is 1 inch (2.5 cm); 5-6 days is likely the correct Vancouver numbers.
Average snowfall is actually quite different when comparing SeaTac to YVR. 6.8cm vs 38.1cm. I'm assuming however that SeaTac is probably the warmest spot in the Seattle Metro region as YVR is in Metro Vancouver as the suburbs always receive more snow.

Yea, I thought Vancouver is a lot higher. I doubt downtown Seattle would be that much higher, there's not a huge topography difference; both are blocked by the Olympics.

Well, Seattle is in darker shade of blue than Amerst, MA.
Looks like just west of you, the Berkshires, are in same dark blue zone as Seattle.

Also PNW is skewed more to dreary winter and very sunny summer,
less so for New England, summers a bit less sunny, winters a bit more sunny.

After PNW, New England is the least sunny, but keep in mind the USA on average is very sunny.

And speaking of dreary NW... I bet its a rainy forecast with the sub tropical jet like that. And that pacific moisture is coming down the pipe to Quebec/Northeast next week

should dump a ton snow in the mountains. Wonder where the snowline will be. Without checking temperature maps and just looking at the setup, 4000 feet?
