I'm assuming he's referring to the people from the US that post temps in C.
I was and then no place where the poster lives is also not listed. I mean i could say the temp is 84 to you guys, but if ya all don't know where i live then what good is the info?
Fahrenheit is a better system for weather purposes, but most of the world uses Celsius. I like to reference both in my posts, but sometimes I get lazy and just use Fahrenheit
I never list C or F if i say my temp is this or that.

If you said it was just 84 and I assumed C then I would have to assume you were dead, 84C = 183.2F
But in all seriousness I understand that frustration, and I think people at the very least need to label their units of measurements. But I don't have any issues if a person uses C or F as long as they label it.
You wear shorts in that weather? I would be wearing long pants and a parka in that (not joking)
When I stepped outside I was like "whoa, hmmm". lol But then as I started mowing and about 5 minutes into it, I was totally fine. After 30 minutes it felt like Spring but without sweating. max today 45F

Thanks for confirming! I figured with the configuration like that. CA gets screwed out of rains for now. Notice the difference between this yr and last year so far. Jet stream was a fast flow West to East (CA Rains, record snows) but this year the Jet is diving south over the PacNW. Interesting setup.

It's funny I use C for the 850mb level, but F for the surface temps. Since most maps use F and I'm used to it (and prefer it) that's what I post. But do post C in the Photo thread since there are non U.S members there.
As for F/C, I always include both unless I've already mentioned that same temperature in the post, for example "40 (4) feels frigid in September, as does 20 (-7) in November, but 20 is bearable and 40 is cool to mild in March". I'm usually too lazy to put the units, but the numbers are usually far apart that people could easily tell the difference. 40*C, for instance, would NEVER feel even close to frigid.
I’m not a fan of the Celsius scale, but I usually include it alongside my Fahrenheit observations. I know 5 Celsius units = 9 Fahrenheit units (moving away from the freezing point), but anything more precise involves decimals and I have to consult a calculator.

Last year the jet started to dive south and hit CA starting around now. Only difference was the southern stream was too strong and flooded most of the lower 48 with warm air from Dec-Feb. Only the PNW received arctic air as the northern jet was also suppressed here.
This winter looks to be a lot different. Could be a rare coast to coast icebox. Major -NAO and -EPO. At least according to the pioneer model.

Won't be no ice box in FL.
