Be thankful for 40s lol I'm stick fricken stuck in the 50s . The average low here now is 42° and I'm at 56°.
And my 40s is only normal yet feels like an entire season has passed. lol
I see why you were 50s. High Pressure over New England. Clearer skies and closer to the HP for me. You had some clouds around. Plus I see a little warm nose at 5000'. 12C above you. Hard for surface to drop to 40s with that warmth above.
Which I've been saying for months. Why else would the beaches drop into the mid/high 40's while the airport stays in the 50's. Why else would the airport record endless 80+ lows while immediate (and densely populated) coast dropped to the 70's most nights. Why else would the airport be warmer than liteally any othet south florida station by like 2F over the course of an entire year.
The station has been in the same place since 1949 and the strangely high readings didn't start until last December.
