Alexandria has only recorded 0.12" since Sept 1st and I have only received 0.03" in my gauge since then. No rain in the forecast over the next 7 days. This is the third consecutive fall to have a strong dry spell.
Precip over the past 30 days.
I had a 11" in Sept , 8" from the Hurricane and 1" so far this month. Unreal someone has less rain than i do.
No fall for Georgia either. Highs hitting 90 F here during the day with 75 F dewpoints and it's failing to drop below 75 F at night. It was 80 F at 10 PM last night.
This was my weather wishlist for October through January:
1. No 90s in October
2. No 80s in November
3. No mid- to upper 70s in December or January
4. No wildfires
5. No tornado outbreaks
In other words, I wanted this October-January to be entirely unlike last October-January. Well, I already don't get my first wish, because the high temperature in Athens, GA yesterday (October 11) was 90°F, which was only 1°F off the daily record high. Even worse, we had record high minimum temperatures on October 9 (73°F) and October 10 (71°F) and low temperatures have been in the lower 70s for five consecutive mornings. This air mass is disgusting, and I'm tired of it. At least last October had the decency and class to let morning lows fall into the upper 50s and lower 60s even when afternoon highs were forecast to be in the upper 80s or the 90s. This October can't even do that right. Thankfully, it appears that temperatures will finally return to near normal by next week, at least up here (not sure about south Georgia). It can't come soon enough.
And then..... Sunday warmest and muggiest day of weekend. Dews in the 60s again with temps in the 70s. Might be cloudy with a front coming through later in the day
GFS is trolling Chicago and NYC in long range (Oct 24-26). Not posting cause I don't believe it!
Take a look at Sunday evenings map. The current weak storm over PacNW will take that path across and will be dropping snow in Ontario and Quebec there while a front comes across the U.S.
Some areas of Quebec might be seeing a heavy snowstorm Sunday! We'll see. Lets get that snowpack down in Canada.

Snowpack in southeast Canada is NEVER a bad thing
On other notes, Monday is looking cooler and cooler. Yesterday said 57/38, now it's looking at 53/33. That would be amazing and worth the torch this weekend.

Got 0.15" rain overnight. I'll take these little events. New Grass seeds germinating nicely now. Yeah, Monday-Tuesday looking awesome and I agree, will make this weekends heat worth while. Just give me the breaks, that's all I ask. Can't take relentless.!
Speaking of Relentless..
