Severe storm potential already showing up for Friday.

Quote:
...Day 6 to Day 8...
The ECMWF and GFS solutions continue to be consistent moving the
upper-level trough into the southern and central Plains on
Friday/Day 6. It appears that this will happen as a dryline develops
in the southern Plains Friday afternoon. Both solutions suggest that
convection will develop on the western edge of the moist sector and
move eastward across eastern Oklahoma and northeast Texas during the
late afternoon. This convection could organize into a line and move
across the Arklatex Friday evening especially if the GFS solution is
correct which is a bit more aggressive with moisture return. For
this reason, will maintain a 15 percent contour in eastern Oklahoma
and northeast Texas and expand the area eastward across much of
Arkansas and northwest Louisiana.

In the summer a 5c difference in predicted temperature (on the weekend) is even more annoying when deciding what to do and wear.
12:30 now and still the same thing. What a joke.

Sunny and 39. Very pleasant. Still about a foot of snow on the ground.

I don't get why people complain so much has about shoveling.

Me neither. Yes it is strenuous but so is going to the gym. The difference? You don't pay a monthly fee to shovel.

Those March freezes really wreaked havoc, at this point progression of spring is well behind last year. Oaks are leafing though, give it a week and progress will have pushed a little more.

Interesting, some things were further along last year but some are much further along this year. Bradford's for instance in those pics are blooming where as they were leafing in Feb this year. But other things are further along in those pictures. Just passed by some areas in those pictures and can say overall last year has us beat.

Thinking now we are behind where we should be in terms of leafing. Sigh....

It is much worse in Indiana. It severely impacted everything, including all orchard trees. Everything is delayed for another month due to idiotic temperatures in February.
