Talk of a deep low crossing over from tomorrow night, with heavy rain, wind (170km/h coastal), thunder and plunging temperatures. The local weather radio guru was talking 24 hour totals of 400mm for hill regions.

Above average weather in Northeast Brasil must be nightmarish, the averages are already warm enough. Maceio's nighttime lows seem a bit more tolerable then the rest of the Northeast

10C/11C highs for the south of the country today, and with a chance of frost tonight. Managed 21C here, but with dry cool westerlies (the story of the summer). Heavy rain in some parts with the forecast 400mm being reached on the the west coast ranges, and quite a bit of wind damage in some parts -summer is hold for a while.

More heavy rain and thunder forecast for saturday, but I won't be seeing it -I'll be 2600km away.... sucking on a VB.
