Here is what the NAM is saying, but as indicated below, not very trustworthy in this time range

I didn't bother check the forecast too carefully since I knew it would change once new data came in after the Pacific storm made landfall, will watch later this afternoon. Hopefully the Euro continues to trend northward? But even the current forecast is not bad.

what's also nice about a dedicated thread is that you can go back through the posts and see things such as where the models had the jackpot zone. I believe Northern Virginia and DC area were always in the jackpot zone so was almost a given that the highest totals were going to be northern Mid Atlantic and not Southern New England. Then the width of the precip started sinking and shrinking south.

Epic for DC and screw zone for NJ?. Dry slot sucks. No snow falling for few hours while the atmosphere rings out nearby

That map is until Saturday 7am only. Snow will just be get started so its not covering the entire storm.. I don't know why Upton took down the one I posted earlier. Maybe they had second thoughts or posted it too fast.

Keep refreshing even to day of. Totals will change.

New NAM has a foot for this area but it's the long Range.
But GFS showing some damn heavy snow as well.

Don't even know what map to post. I don't want to leave anyone out. lol

How about a total map from the NAM12z? Keep in mind its just until Saturday 7pm.

I mean if these models verify as is....Are those folks ready for 2-3 feet?? I remember CT got 3 feet and roads were impassable for days. People had no where to park. Cars were buried

26.7 inches in Clarksburg,WV would paralyze the town. 25" in the mountains of Tucker co WV, Somerset Co PA, and Garett co, MD is just another storm.
