Tornado potential could remain limited in north central Texas.

SUMMARY...AN INCREASING THREAT FOR SEVERE GUSTS /POSSIBLY IN EXCESS
OF 65 KT/ WILL DEVELOP OVER WRN N-CNTRL TX AND PUSH EWD INTO N-CNTRL
TX LATER THIS EVENING. LARGE HAIL MAY ACCOMPANY THE STRONGER
UPDRAFTS. THE LINEAR MODE WILL TEND TO LIMIT TORNADO POTENTIAL WITH
THE EXCEPTION BEING AN ISOLD EMBEDDED CIRCULATION/MESOVORTEX AS THE
QLCS MATURES THIS EVENING.

DISCUSSION...WATER VAPOR IMAGERY INDICATES THE LEADING EDGE OF
STRONG DEEP-LAYER FORCING FOR ASCENT IS IMPINGING ON THE LEE
TROUGH/DRYLINE OVER NWRN TX EARLY THIS EVENING. IN RESPONSE TO THIS
INCREASED FORCING FOR ASCENT...AN INTENSIFYING QLCS HAS DEVELOPED
FROM KNOX COUNTY SSWWD INTO STERLING AND MITCHELL COUNTIES. IT
APPEARS HIGHLY UNLIKELY GIVEN THE TRANSITION TO LINEAR MODE AND
SYNOPTIC FORCING FOR ASCENT THAT STORMS WILL EVOLVE INTO A DISCRETE
MODE. AS A RESULT...SEVERE WIND GUSTS /PERHAPS LOCALLY IN EXCESS OF
65 KT WITH THE STRONGER MICROBURSTS/ AND LARGE HAIL --OWING TO STEEP
H7-H5 LAPSE RATES-- ARE BECOMING THE PRIMARY THREATS THIS EVENING.

Yeah, squall line already, but after sunset LLJ could be an issue

It should. Wundeground predicts 100% chance of rain again at midnight. Wish I could understand why it's become impossible to see cloud to ground lightning here. There seemed to be plenty of instability today.

What Polar Vortex? Oh so close to New England, hence the cold air around today. Spring feels so far away for the Poor folks in Eastern Canada. Background colors = 850mb temps. Numbers = surface temps

Kinda impressive seeing all the 80s south of NYC today when not only there is no ridge at all in the U.S and 850mb temps not really torching.

Follow the lines and you can see the flow comes right from the Hot Pacific

All this talk on the Europe climate forum about the cold from the Arctic, yet that looks much colder and of course further south in North America. What else would you expect.

Seems more and more the vortex is showing up every year. Supposedly the vortex is supposed to break down from SSW and come south only 1 out 3 years. Seems far more likely to happen just about every year now.

Awareness Tom, so many people think its Climate Change but they don't have the knowledge or resources to see this is nothing new. They should go back to the world when computers weren't invented. Now we got technology, Social Media, and Forums. If I didn't post that, how many in here would have known it was nearby?
