Funny, this whole week was forecast to be nothing but bald suns and highs around 85 F. Today was cloudy pretty much all day and the high was in the low 80s, and it sprinkled on and off several times today. I wish I got paid to be wrong.....

What tight gradient? I'll take my 59° and be happy with it I guess.

We're literally on the northernmost part of the red, if we were just a few miles north I think it would be insanely cold here! But you could tell it's pushing farther and farther north, earlier in April it seemed like it would get stuck in Central PA or the PA-New York border

lol. I was waiting for that.
What happened? Why the change? Something just pop up or speed up?

Yeah, it's interesting to see the fight of the warm and cold air in the Spring but definitely packing less of a punch now. Although 30s for an April afternoon isn't too bad indicating some strength but given its location I guess its considered weak. I bet extreme Low max for Minnesota is like 20s end of April.

I'm not sure, perhaps the easterly winds brought a "marine layer" of sorts, there's still some scattered sprinkles around.

I'm not complaining though. Nothing but bald suns for a week would **** me off.

Last year in Binghamton we had a 1c for a high on April 24th, but last year was abnormally cold all the way up until May, so I think this year we're seeing a normal jet stream position. Also the leaves are finally blooming in Binghamton, last year it didn't happen until the second week of May here!

Also let me just say that the difference between how a 65f feels and 55f feels is MASSIVE. 65f means it could almost be warm enough for a t-shirt, while 55f means having to wear a warm sweater, or maybe even a jacket

High of 86 F today. The countdown towards the first 90 degree day of 2016 continues. Forecast is saying I'll get it Wednesday, but the forecast has been screwy some days this past week, so we shall see.

Tomorrow 42 F is predicted as a high in Boston and 80 F in Philly!! Quite the contrast. Even as warm as 84 F in DC and as cold as 37 F in NH. Is this a backdoor cold front?

Polar Jet is dropping down, but no cold air dropping below. Don't think it's backdoor as it's not from cold Atlantic air to the east. Cambium probably could give more specifics.
